I developed a love for wine fairly early on. I recall times as a kid when Dad let me have a sip of his wine from time to time at the dinner table. I didn't hate it.
Leaving school and entering the hospitality industry, I quickly became immersed in the food and beverage world and my interest in wine grew.
Running restaurants and bars exposed me to great wine and the great people behind it. I knew my hospitality days were numbered as I decided I wanted to, one day, make my own.
Working part time over vintages with friend Scott Ireland down in Geelong, and then given the role as assistant winemaker with Cameron Leith at Passing Clouds in the Macedon Ranges, my wine dream had become a reality.
2017 marks the third vintage of Musk Lane wines - the first of which will be ready for release in spring.
I hope you enjoy drinking these wines as much as I enjoyed making them. Feel free to get in touch with feedback, questions or just to say hi.
