MACEDON RANGES/BENDIGO FRINGE, (SOUTH OF MT ALEXANDER), VICTORIA
The second release of our Faraday Vineyard Pinot Noir from 2021 - this batch was fermented in and open 3000L old French Foudre. As always, wild yeast ferment with nothing added. An extended élevage of 3 years in old French oak hogsheads (300L).
The tannins from the foudre needed extra time to intergrate so we held this wine back in barrel while the ‘original’ Faraday Vineyard Pinot Noir was out there doing it’s thing, which has now since sold out.
Perfect time to release this guy - seriously structured Pinot with dense dark fruit and lots of old world character. This wine was bottled in December 2024 so now coming up to 18 months in bottle is showing serious maturity. A treat.
